Thankfully, like everything else, actively working to improve your fitness levels in time turns into a habit, a necessity that makes our days complete. The trick is to get to that sweet spot where you don’t have to push yourself to go to the gym or for a run, it becomes something of a second nature to you. Workouts will get you out of your comfort zone, it will make you sweaty, sore and wanting to slump back into your couch, but it is up to you to motivate yourself in the opposite direction and getting out of what is familiar will definitely give you a motivational boost.

Here’s the thing with working out – it doesn’t have to be torture. Maybe going to the gym makes you feel self-conscious and you can’t give it all you’ve got – no problem, exercise at home. Find types of workouts that are in sync with your fitness goals and you love doing them, this approach will make your life and your workout routine much easier.     Totally agree with this advice! If you’re not enjoying what you’re doing, at least a little bit, long term success isn’t going to happen. Anyone can grind through a two week workout and tighten up a bit, but if you want to make real changes over the course of months or years, dreading the gym is going to work against you in a major way. Keep trying different stuff until something clicks! People think you can only run or lift weights, but as you said, there are plenty of options.

    Staying motivated can be one of the hardest things to do in staying fit. I know for me, there are times where I just don’t want to work out! But I know if I want to get where I want to go then I HAVE to keep on moving forward. This article is great it really resonates with me and helps me focus in more on my goals.

    This article resonated so much with me that I had to stop and leave a comment. I am so unhappy working out at the gym, cycling or dancing that I made every excuse in the world to not show up. It wasn’t until reading “The 5 Luxury Exercise Classes Everyone Needs to Try”, Best Life Online, in 2017 about #3 Cho Cheung Wing Chun school in NY, I was curious. I started in in July 2017 and immediately fell in love with the class. So much so that I started going to Barre Floor 7 days a week just to get better in wing chun classes.

    Even though it took me years to find what works for me, I’m happy to have found it.

    I hope that these words helps others to stay motivated to find what works for them.
